Great watching the history of the bogs & Midlands, but extremely disappointing to see RTE not covering facts of what BNM are doing to these bogs to facilitate wind. Important that the public is given all info, not misinformation on #buildingireland www.rte.ie/player/serie...

Shocking to hear Christopher O'Sullivan speak in such a manner when he seen with his own eyes what's happening on bogs here by BNM. Darragh O'Brien continues to ignore our invitation to visit and see real evidence that contradicts what he says. #biodiversityloss clearly being supported.

On #biodiversityday2026 don't ever be afraid to ask questions or dig deeper. By doing so, you will uncover scenes like this, of Whooper habitat losses on bogs by a semi-state to facilitate a proposed wind farm. When Green Vs Green! #biodiversityloss madness.

Yet another opportunity lost for the Midlands. The bogs here are prime for it under the Just Transition. When will communities be allowed to deliver instead of being ignored?

Disgraceful from Darragh O'Brien over on X and a clear example of ignoring & avoiding communication with local communities. For a Minister to publicly display support for projects that are knowingly impacting on critically important ecosystems and biodiversity overall, is extremely worrying.

Following heavy rains this week, farmers downstream of the bogs are paying the price. Pumping of water off bogs continues and modified drainage having taken place to facilitate, with underground concrete pipes removed and a new open channel created feeding into this river.

On the eve of BNM reapplying for their proposed wind farm, never forget that all you see in this video has been actively removed from these crucial bogs through outdated pumping activities and methods which held no planning permission in an act to clear the bogs for a wind farm.
