Trump has led a sustained attack on food safety both terms. The USDA was gutted through relocation/restructuring in Trump 1, the food-labor force has been under constant attack under Trump 2, both farm- and meat-system assaulted through ICE, and food inspection through DOGE cuts. Protect yourself!

The Supreme Court ruled today that states may ban transgender girls from school sports. Justice Kavanaugh wrote the majority. 25 states have now criminalized gender-affirming care for minors. The court that just upheld birthright citizenship spent the same morning legislating who gets to play.

The Supreme Court's "history and tradition" test for gun safety laws is the dumbest version of heads-I-win, tails-you-lose jurisprudence. Anytime a legislature enacts a meaningful gun restriction, the conservatives find a reason to conclude that the historical "evidence" just isn't strong enough.
