What function does he have outside of a GOP majority? I can't really think of any.

Still from the movie Brazil showing a doctor stretching a placid looking Ida Lowery's (played by Katherine Helmond) face to a worrying degree.

in 1627 someone published a text called 'Woe to Drunkards' with an honest to goodness Chad knight vs. Virgin fop meme
"In a woodcut on the title-page of 'Woe to Drunkards,' a sermon preached by Samuel Ward, of Ipswich, 1627, the vices of that age are typically contrasted with the virtues of a former one. In the upper compartment we are shown what men were of old by the open Bible, the foot in the stirrup, and the hand grasping the lance; while in the lower, the degeneracy of their descendants is typified by the leg and foot, decorated with a broad silk garter and a large rosette; by cards and dice, and a hand holding at the same time a lighted pipe and a drinking cup with a cockatrice in it. Twenty years afterwards, these types would have been more strictly applicable, with the inscriptions merely transposed."

Hah, I have that exact Bridgestone Bikes catalog and somehow held onto it that long. It was very "zine" like but with high production values. Yes they were selling stuff but they also had articles on things they just thought were cool.

Our language has been completely warped by Big Tech's algorithms, from a generation that's grown up saying "unalive", to the way everyone's censored themselves talking about the Cornell rapists. It's time to fight back against billionaire control of free speech. www.anildash.com/2026/10/06/k...

This is the one I remember..
It's a white t-shirt with "I RAN INTO TAMMY FAYE" at the top, a distorted print of a face shaped stain referencing Tammy Faye's distinctive makeup and "AT THE MALL" in block print below. There is a 1987 copyright date

Pay The Lord/Pay The Lawyers were some of the jokes at the time. Also the "I ran into Tammy Faye at the mall" T-Shirts, though she apparently redeemed herself somewhat before she died.

Remember the Election of 1860: Lincoln won even though he wasn't on the ballot in the South, which meant the South was going to war specifically because it didn't have enough free men to win an election. Which didn't register with them as a reason they might lose.

The full metal jacket bullet weighed 14.579 g and, due to a high muzzle velocity, was effective even under shallow angles, as instead of ricocheting, the bullet would "stick" to the armour and punch a roughly 20 mm diameter hole. Calculated kinetic energy, by shot, before brake was about 11,850 J.

I honestly would have rather they had the same sized square windows and probably fewer of them. The whole wall looks so slapdash and busy. Then you can arrange several together and get the shape you need while still having at least some consistency.

Can an architect please explain why this window placement bugs me? I get there are stairs here and better options might be more expensive but this really bothers me and I don't have the words to explain it. The ones on the bottom staggered up along the stairs really bother me.
It's the side wall of a townhouse with windows in three rows the top row or five windows of three of one size and two of another the second row or three different sizes and the bottom row is all the all the same size that staggered up the side of the building as if to follow the path of the stairs
