I want the Green Party and Your Party to merge, just for the entertainment value of them trying to form a coherent position on anything!

Went to see the lowest level of Saturday football ever. Middlesex Premier level 11, Stonewall FC 1 v 2 Kodak (Harrow). Ground is literally stuck to the London Stadium.

I don’t know which public affairs company thought of this clever wheeze - a reminder that all that crypto money is bad for the ‘teeth’ of British democracy. Stop crypto millionaires buying the next election by asking your mp to back a cap on ALL donations to political parties.

I'm pro PR for Parliamentary elections but I won't be getting excited by the National Commission because I can see it settling on proposing a second round of voting where no candidates get 50% in a constituency. Which while an improvement on FPTP, it's only a marginal one.

EXC - We *also* have an MRP out today - which has some very striking findings. Progressives who vote tactically to stop Nigel Farage’s Reform UK could push his party into FOURTH place. The poll also shows Burnham’s Labour is winning back left-leaning voters. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

OK, 5 games in wise, more than I expected, unbeaten, only conceded 3 goals. Today? Pile of pre Bielsa hump ball garbage against a limited side. I will let it go, but I am not going to do that again if we regularly play like an away side at ER this season! #lufc

The Battle of Holbeck Moor took place in Leeds on 27 September 1936, when Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists attempted a march through the city. Their original route through the Jewish quarter was blocked, but they regrouped and headed for Holbeck Moor, daubing swastikas in the Leylands 1/3

"It is worse than a crime, it is a mistake" 😉
Reform UK supporters stand out as most mistaken
Misperceptions about crime are not confined to one party, but there is a consistent gradient, with Reform supporters the clearest outliers.

Reform UK supporters most underestimate the share of people convicted of homicide who are white (guess: 30%; reality: 64%), and most overestimate the share who are from ethnic minorities (guess: 70%; reality: 35%) – in both cases, wide of the mark by 10 points more than any other party.
They most overestimate the share of those cautioned for or convicted of sexual offences who are foreign nationals, guessing it’s 50% – far above Conservatives (30%), who have the second-highest guess, and more than three times the reality of 15%.
They have an inflated view of the risk of being a crime victim in England and Wales, guessing 34% were victims in a single year, against 25% among Conservatives and 20% among Labour, Lib Dem and Green supporters – all far above the 9.7% reality.
Reform supporters guess 75% of the public do not feel safe walking alone in their area after dark –15 points higher than Conservatives (60%), who have the second-highest guess, and almost double the reality of 39%.
On police numbers in England and Wales, majorities of all parties’ supporters wrongly think they fell, but 74% of Reform supporters have this misperception, compared with 66% of Conservative and 63% of Labour supporters.

We were the 17th highest PL spenders in summer 26-27 (happy to say I think we got some value for our £82m*) and 13th in net spend. I'll take either 17th or 13th as a season ending league position. #lufc *FootballTransfers.com via the BBC figures.

Farke needs to have a better plan for what happens if DCL gets an ACL that is more credible than just playing Nmecha in a role he isn't suited to. Still, it wouldn't have been a proper #lufc transfer window if it didn't end with a gaping hole in the squad.

With 90 minutes to go, no matter how impressed we are with the signings of summer 26, and with 2 to confirm, the elephant in the #lufc transfer window is the lack of a striker/DCL back-up being bought. Unless someone knows something that means we are not going to bed yet?
