ProPublica and the Tribune reached out to Paxton's campaign on June 3, 15 and 25, asking why he remained registered to vote in Collin County when he appeared to no longer live there and about his connection to the Denton County property. A reporter also left a voicemail on his personal cellphone on June 25. The news organizations sent his government office and campaign staff an email on Monday with a detailed list of questions, including a request for Paxton's response to election lawyers' belief that he may be violating the law. Paxton and his office did not reply until Monday's email. Campaign spokesperson Madison Cercy did not answer the questions from the news organizations. Instead, she issued a statement saying that the attorney general has been "a national leader on election integrity, with a long record of defending Texas elections." Cercy said that "attempting to insinuate otherwise and tear him down with a baseless, lie-filled tabloid story is not real reporting." Asked twice to provide specifics about what they believed was inaccurate, the campaign did not respond.

Poor little Mosaic may need to go to the vet this week. She's sneezing. She has feline herpes virus, so it may be a flare caused by stress. Since she's FIV+, flares can lead to pneumonia or eye infection. 🤞 it's just some allergies that clear up today since we got HEPA purification going again.

Well, I'm struggling with lyrics (sometimes my brain just doesn't want to form words that are lyric shaped), but I'm playing cool little riffs & enjoying playing instrumentals I've written/am writing in open tunings, anyway. Sometimes just playing or playing & vocalizing nonsense is more fun.

It's a little known fact that Lt Gov is possibly the most powerful position in our state executive branch. This dude, who doesn't understand the 1st Amendment, presides over the Texas Senate. He sets the legislative agenda & controls committees. Rep Vikki Goodwin is running against him this fall.

We are tired of being analyzed, defined and represented by people other than ourselves — or worse yet, not considered at all. We are frustrated by the imposed isolation and invisibility that comes from being told or expected to choose either a homosexual or heterosexual identity. Monosexuality is a heterosexist dictate used to oppress homosexuals and to negate the validity of bisexuality.

Bisexuality is a whole, fluid identity. Do not assume that bisexuality is binary or dougamous in nature; that we must have “two” sides or that we must be involved simultaneously with both genders to be fulfilled human beings. In fact, don’t assume that there are only two genders. Do not mistake our fluidity for confusion, irresponsibility, or an inability to commit. Do not equate promiscuity, infidelity, or unsafe sexual behavior with bisexuality. Those are human traits that cross all sexual orientations. Nothing should be assumed about anyone’s sexuality — including your own.

We are angered by those who refuse to accept our existence; our issues; our contributions; our alliances; our voice. It is time for the bisexual voice to be heard.

I went to the library to vote in city run offs & renew my library card. My spouse & I wear N95s in public. Poll workers & librarians were fantastic, as usual, but while I was having a pleasant interaction with a librarian, a stranger flagged my attention to make my mask about her.
