Running around with your friends shouldn't leave you struggling for breath. But for too many of London’s children, polluted air was harming their health. Experts said it would take nearly 200 years to reach legal air quality limits. We did it in nine.

This by @naomialderman.bsky.social is a piece that actually gives me hope. People telling stories, making myths, extending the stories of others has too long been dispelled as time wasting. This says otherwise. Also Naomi mentions @openuniversity.bsky.social in it so it's a very good read!

Ever wondered why your child watches the same video over and over, or prefers playing on their own? Mel Green explains what these behaviours can actually tell us and why understanding the ‘why’ changes everything. Watch the full video: ow.ly/xq2s50Yq5WB #TheOpenUniversity #neurodiversity

Today was the launch of the @theopenuniversity's "Supporting Neurodivergent Children" hub for which I contributed to toolkit giving parents tools and rights advice. Check it out at www.open.ac.uk/courses/choo.... #neurodiversity #parentcarer #openuniversity #studentcarers #neurodiversechildren
A woman with long locs and glasses sits at a desk, resting her chin on her hand and smiling slightly at the camera. Behind her, a large computer monitor displays a webpage titled “Supporting neurodivergent children,” alongside an image of children holding hands outdoors. On the desk are notebooks, papers, and stacked books, suggesting a home office or workspace.

Lots of people citing Starmer's various terrible decisions under this post but not sure anyone has recognised the damage he has done to children with additional needs and mental health issues with the parental blame and attendance policies he has enforced.

Possible causes of your problems. It’s a diagram that (sadly) still seems relevant in 2025, so reposting a year and a bit on.
Diagram titled 'Possible causes of your problems'. On the left hand side, subtitled 'Yes': Funding removed from local councils, growing gap between rich and poor, multinational companies not paying their taxes, lack of new affordable housing, government not investing sufficiently in schools and healthcare. On the right hand side, subtitled 'No': Picture of small boat, with arrow; 'People fleeing horrific situations that you and I can't imagine'.

Please bask in the beauty of my new planter, hand-crafted by @cera.nic (on Insta). I have wanted one of Nicole's pieces for over a year now so I am so happy she's finally here. I have named her Nyah, she's going on my desk and I am going plant shopping in her honour this weekend.
A close-up image of a hand-crafted ceramic planter in the shape of a face with a serene expression, featuring closed eyes, a slightly open mouth, and prominent ears adorned with gold earrings. The planter has a textured, earthy brown surface with a glossy finish. A pink business card with an illustration of a face and the text "Ceramic: Hand-Crafted Ceramics Made with Love" is placed in front of the planter on a wooden surface. The background is softly blurred, showing hints of a keyboard with rainbow-lit keys.
