We’re ten episodes in to season six of Voyager which means it’s time for Galaxy Quest, the most Star Trek movie to ever do it. I saw it in theaters with my dad after only watching TNG with him, and it’s VERY fun to revisit after everything. Also just a great movie!

It has been two years exactly since we started (re)watching all of Star Trek and we're about 2/3rds of the way through. (I did add Galaxy Quest to the list because it's canon as far as I'm concerned.) We're months behind on pacing, assuming 1 ep/day, but still not too bad!

We finished DS9 last night. I really like Ezri, and think they made great use of that opportunity to explore her this season. They did good by the best ship, Miles and Julian, giving them a high-stakes spy adventure in the later episodes. Everything about the war felt both meandering and rushed.

Love the Voyager ep “11:59” because it’s just Janeway telling a story. No complicated setup, no convoluted time travel, no brain aliens - just Janeway and pals reminiscing about old family stories and not getting blown up for one week. Great!

This time last year I had my first hospital stay and part of that was receiving blood transfusions since I had, uh, misplaced a lot of my own. We watched DS9 7x7 “Once More Unto the Breach” last night and hearing Ezri order a Moscow mule at Quark’s just about sent me into orbit. That’s a normal drink!!! (Nevermind that it looked like Quark filled a cocktail shaker with grenadine and kanar.)

We wrapped up DS9 season 6 last night with "Tears of the Prophets". I'm not enjoying the Kira/Odo ship this time around, and Jadzia/Worf was always out of nowhere for me. I feel like the show never really figured Jadzia out, but I'll miss her. Psyched for Ezri though!!
