I wrote a big sci-fi adventure series with a cast of diverse, surprising characters to fall in love with, plot twists and jokes. Half is set in apocalyptic Yorkshire with big dangerous robots on the prowl. The other half is set inside a very unusual kind of cyberspace. rustyquill.com/show/rez-high/

Yes that's definitely the thing to do. I wouldn't entertain working for a company that did that (but I know it's a thing that happens). And if they did it after the fact - that's even worse.

The Great ADHD Myth? doc was one entitled right wing bloke saying "because I say so" for 60 minutes while some Harley Street cranks into "vibes over medication" and a GP fascist repeated their one talking point for 60 minutes. A dogshit documentary of the highest order with no thesis or evidence.

Really enjoying Widow’s Bay. I hope it sticks the landing. It’s like Parks and Rec crossed with Sam Raimi and Stephen King. It works a treat so far. Patricia is my favourite character.

Strongly recommend Rez High by @brendonconnelly.bsky.social - well written and acted, and sounds great! In post-apocalyptic Yorkshire, a gaggle of kids search for answers about the before-times by playing a Grange Hill-style VR game. 5/6 episodes released so far, catch up before Friday's finale!

Furious that Chris Nolan would disregard historical accuracy in adapting The Odyssey by making a "movie" with "cameras" instead of memorizing the entire story and then going on a nationwide tour to sing it to us while tripping on ergotized barley

This World Cup is the moment football passed the event horizon into the Baudrillardian simulacrum. Money has ruined the game for years. But this World Cup is the apotheosis of the rot. The World Cup did not take place, etc, etc.

No less than 60 million stars in one image. It's possible thanks to ESA's Euclid mission. For just one day, Euclid turned its gaze to the crowded heart of the Milky Way and captured the largest, most detailed photo ever taken of our galaxy's centre in visible light. Let's dive deeper 👇 🔭 🧪 ☄️ 1/8
A dense field of tiny stars fills this square image taken by the European Space Agency’s Euclid space telescope. The lower and central areas are dominated by bright yellow and gold colours, forming a textured background similar to fine glitter or sand. Dark brown and black patches cut irregularly through the yellow regions, like ink stains or clouds of smoke. Toward the upper left, the colours shift to purple and reddish tones, blending gently into the surrounding star field. Small blue points of light are scattered across the image.
