Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse: archive.org/details/tipp...

Had an Absolutely terrifying nightmare with an unfortunately funny ending. A little girl turned out to be the devil and a bunch of us had to solve riddles or she’d kill us. in the end she cut off all our limbs and forced us to eat each other, which she called “going Milton mode.”

Parallel Tales: Basically enjoyed this, but I'm not sure what Farhadi thought he was doing remaking Kieslowski. The twain meeting really casts into stark relief everything the pair do differently. Kieslowski was a director of intimacy, Farhadi is a director of confrontation.

Shocked by the greatness of Gary Sherman's Mysterious Two. Incredible setting (country hoe-down where Heaven's Gaters are waiting for the mothership) and Altman-esque drama of everyone involved, though his storybeats and camera are way more concrete. It's like Nashville of the Third Kind.
