When people say stuff like this, they should just say ME-2. Maine’s got a blue house, blue senate, split federal senate seats for decades, a blue governor, and is more progressive than all but about 10-12 states. this joke is getting old.

New Donald Antrim has a date, a title and a cover, let's fucking GO www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/752470...
McMahon meme reacting to descriptions of Donald Antrim's forthcoming "My Eliot" ... in order:

1. "Lost in the house he grew up in, haunted by the ghost of his younger sister and his strange, cruel parents, and with the love of his life, Paula, zipping around town in a sportscar"

2. the words "our narrator Donald Antrim" highlighted

3. the words "Instead of writing his book, Donald spends his time with the technicolor trees, talking to a possum named Tom, pursuing the phantom of a little boy, and trying to win back his beloved Paula."

4. "Pages: 224"

A Facebook post by Brian Sauve being shared (sharing user blocked out) that reads: "There is no question:
If what we’re seeing reported about Fauci true, he must be swiftly executed after a fair trial.
He is willfully complicit in mass murderer. See less"

Wrote about failed ebike startup Rad Power Bikes for @inc.com As I was fussing with pitching this story, the company filed for bankruptcy and then a warehouse of its bikes caught on fire. Ever have a metaphor just ... land in your lap?
inc.com
Rad Power Bikes Was an E-Bike Unicorn. Then Everything Blew Up
The startup had everything: ambition, market share, a $1.65 billion valuation, diehard fans, and the wind at its back. Is that what killed it?

boomers love this question as the appetizer to a line of questioning wondering "how you ended up doing this," which ends with a really condescending "good for you" type attaboy and a 10% tip

guy takes a long voyage to save society & misses his kid's childhood. whenever he stops to rest it's on a Dunkirk beach and his men get wiped out. he's always sad bc he recalls inventing a WMD and he palms a trinket to recall home life. loses, then regains, his memory, returns home, becomes batman

This Claude ad on Instagram reveals the story of a restaurateur who used Claude to ... move things closer to the cooks who needed those things? Why didn't the cooks just set up their mise better? What are we even talking about anymore
"When brunch was slow, Eli gave Claude his sales data and kitchen photos. It turns out the ingredients cook needed most were the hardest to reach. That week he began shifting things around, bringing his team into the process and revising as they weighed in. Food came off the line faster, servers turned more tables, and tips went up."

We live in a post-metaphor society. President snoozing on live TV, bareknuckle boxing on the White House lawn, health secretary chugging unpasteurized milk and leaping into a hot tub in jeans. Robert Coover lived a very long life but I'm still sad he missed 2026.

Comic panel of Donald Duck and a wide-eyed young Mickey Mouse. Donald's speech bubble: "Democrats should do a huge middle class tax cut to address affordability." Mickey's speech bubble: "Fool that you are, for you treat taxation as a burden rather than the means by which our burdens are eased. Behold a civilization rich in private wealth yet starved of public provision, where every man owns what his grandfathers could not imagine and yet trembles at the thought of how he will weather an illness or loss of livelihood. Will you fight for an affirmative vision of broad contribution and universal benefit? Or will you perish like a dog?"

My "My company didn't kill Matthew Perry" T-shirt has people asking a lot of questions already answered by my shirt.
Linkedin post where one CEO is quoting another CEO and talking about them both suing the WSJ for defamatory reporting —

Quote poster:
"We're suing them for $88M for lying that we killed Matthew Perry.

That lie manipulated patients away from evidence-based care and into the arms of their big pharma advertisers.

Lying to readers for profit is evil, and evil must be fought.

 Welcome to the party, Binance."

Quoted post:
"We've filed a complaint against Wall Street Journal for publishing false and defamatory reporting."
