But today I wrote a scene essentially roleplaying a convo with one of my BFFs, whom I dearly miss seeing all the time, and all of a sudden the characters were having fun again.

In one WIP, the land itself feels familiar but that familiarity was gained in part through rituals that now feel hollow. This is repulsive

I confronted the Executive director and told him that I considered his behavior toward me emotionally abusive. He appeared amused by this. I cannot say what he was thinking, but I left that conversation feeling that something deeply personal I had trusted him with was being used against me.
I was also disturbed by comments he made about humiliating people or teaching them a lesson. According to the notes I made after one discussion, the Executive director said that if a member became so emotionally distressed that they physically harmed themselves, they would "learn a lesson." I had already objected to the idea of humiliating members of making an example of them. Hearing that made me question whether member welfare was being taken seriously.
