CEO pay is up 1,316% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 28%. CEOs are now paid 325 TIMES as much as the typical worker in their industry, according to @epi.org Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

Glad folks are appalled by photos of the "phone booth" cage under an awning, but pls understand: This IG report is likely part of a cover-up. Amnesty Int'l interviewed detainees EIGHT MONTHS AGO who said the cage was half this size (couldn't stand up), had no awning, w feet chained to the bottom.

This example was offered as an alternative to lethal injection, so it assumes it is already the case that someone is offered assisted suicide. The question only becomes does their death save others, or does it not.

Max @maxaroo.bsky.social · 09/07/2026
That’s a slippery slope fallacy. I would never be ok with ANY procedure happening against one’s will. And that’s like saying we shouldn’t allow abortion because it could lead to forced abortion. How about we just respect bodily autonomy?

Max @maxaroo.bsky.social · 09/07/2026
But there is an accomplice in both cases. At least in the organ procurement, they are also saving someone else in the process. In that case it’s possibly the difference between two deaths vs one via lethal injection. But it could potentially be even more lives saved where otherwise none would be.

Max @maxaroo.bsky.social · 08/07/2026
Just curious, what difference does it make if it’s the organ harvesting team vs someone who is performing a lethal injection? If they were choosing to die anyway, that is.
