New BABY orca!!! Taken this past Saturday. T137's Bigg's Transients T36A1 ("Tierna"), and T36A1A ("Drift") -- who is also just a couple months old -- and a new baby taking lots of air and trying to keep up. The Orcas are cruising slowly past Bretland on Camano Island, Washington.

Marine sniper and legend Carlos Hathcock at work with a spotter in Vietnam. Hathcock (code name White Feather) preferred to work solo. Accordingly, while his confirmed (by a witness) kills numbered 90, his unconfirmed were from 300 to 400. The Vietnamese placed a $30,000 bounty on him.

Snoqualmie Falls and the Salish Lodge (aka Twin Peaks) Snoqualmie, Washington. Cascade Range I always used to take out of town visitors to the falls. They were just a 25 minute drive from my house in Bellevue and they're quite dramatic. Especially when the river is at flood stage.

Then and Now The Dorilton Apartments -- Broadway and 71st Street NYC. Construction began in 1900 and was completed in 1902. The construction visible in the middle of Broadway in the vintage pic is the Broadway/7th Avenue subway being built. Which places this pic sometime between 1902 and 1908.

One of my Marines on the beach at Orawan Bay, Camp Schwab, Okinawa -- 1982. As a Gay Marine I always appreciated the fact that the famous/infamous USMC PT shorts -- known as silkies -- only ever came in Youth Medium size.
