Thinking of my dad today. In the days leading up to D-Day, he was a part of a unit building airfields across England. After D-Day, his unit built airfields across Europe.

This is so important. I’ve taken care of children who didn’t die from their vaccine preventable illness but instead -lost limbs -developed kidney failure requiring dialysis -had strokes and permanent deficits Death isn’t the only bad outcome. And sometimes it may not be the worst one.

Relaxing pic for today, a hand sewn Irish Chain quilt in the quilting frame, ready to be hand quilted. The squares were pieced by many women years ago, but were just assembled this year.
