you to know: your exhaustion is by design. The bombardment of daily "Doom News" isn't accidental. It is a calculated strategy. Authoritarian movements and the billionaires who buy up media platforms thrive on your despair. Why? Because hopeless people do not organise. Hopeless

The media only uses the term oligarch for Russian billionaires. Musk and co fit the definition just as well, and yet they get innocent sounding labels like tech mogul.

Soon we'll all be climate refugees.
The El Niño is likely to be the largest in at least 1,000 years and will pile extra heat into an atmosphere where temperatures are already rising rapidly due to global heating. The combination means 2027 is set to “blow apart” the record and be the hottest year ever recorded.

A sad truth is most companies do not know how to assess quality of knowledge work. This is why they resort to RTO policies because they can’t simply judge if people are working better or worse from home. This is also why they think all AI usage is good when most of it is obviously counterproductive

Them: "why didn't you warn us louder?"
Everyone: "WE DID"

Success at any cost is indeed a very American notion. Luckily the EU still has some people in charge who consider ecological and societal impacts over allowing a few billionaires to destroy it all in the name of success.

Ford has rehired hundreds of senior engineers after replacing them with AI backfired and has cost the company billions of dollars. AI adoption is blamed for Ford being the most recalled automaker in the U.S. with 51 recalls covering over 11 million vehicles in the first half of 2026 alone.
