There's a certain light quality I sometimes see out my livingroom window when a storm is rolling through, and I know that it means there's a rainbow in a specific spot. I didn't develop this noticing over time and trial and error; it came to me suddenly one day, a perfect, 100% correct guess rate.

Today I paid off the last of my student loan, which I began repaying in 2012. It, with the ~$10k in pure interest it accrued prior to the federal cancellation of student loan interest, were a considerable millstone on the neck of a young person from a working-class background. I am glad to be done.

We're predicted to face the worst flu season in a decade, as the major strain =/= strain targeted in seasonal vax. If you want to reduce your risk of spending holidays ill, I recommend using a good-fitting mask. I like the Canadamasq Q100 a lot; it's earloop but N95-equivalent, breathable, 🍁-made.
