What I really hate about GenAI/LLMs is that til recently we were encouraged to learn, to think, to know things and apply that knowledge. But now we risk being seen as "falling behind" if we don't willingly... stop thinking/creating for ourselves and embrace the slop machine. Well fuck that.

Current C64 demo scene. Mind-blowing stuff for sure. Seriously mind-blowing especially when you have the context of what the machine is and its known capabilities. But. I yearn for the old Compunet days reading the scrolly messages. And the modern music - it’s all sounding rather samey.
