One, this hilariously outs who all got the talking points in advance and how blatantly they parrot those. Two, Schmitt really thought today he'd launch himself to the VP nomination and with that a decent shot at the presidency down the line. Instead this is the only thing he'll be remembered for.

No. Federal appropriations law has long barred using taxpayer funds for political advertising.

I lived in Silicon Valley during my post-college "I'm poor and trying to make it" dating years and even the rich dot-com people I met seemed okay, just crazy wealthy. What it is now (or at least what makes the news) is beyond words.

Are you going to want to buy a haptic mouse? Microsoft has followed Logitech into the market with a new Surface mouse, but I'm not sure it (the haptics) makes sense from a productivity perspective. www.pcworld.com/article/3242...

Sorry, Microsoft: Haptic mice are a productivity gimmick
Microsoft has launched a new Surface Mouse, which mimics the Logitech MX Master 4 in its support for haptic feedback. Based on my experience, it's a luxury, not a must-have productivity feature.

As a reporter, you never want to be the story. (Unfortunately some do.) The Holly Rowe post-game interview is not the story. The story is an AI-created video that shows the Texas coach punching Rowe. The story is Arch Manning, when asked about it, laughing and calling it hilarious.

You have this asymmetry where the White House can make video games on government websites about brutalizing immigrants but a random Democrat has a few old tweets and the latter carries the news cycle. It's all such incredibly performative bs.
A screenshot of an X (Twitter) post by Andrew Kaczynski (@KFILE) dated September 4, 2026.
The text reads:
"NEW on CNN: “Fuck you..hurry up and die.” Will Lawrence, a Democrat running in one of swing seat that could decide control of Congress, deleted hundreds of old posts before launching his campaign. They show him backing a world without police and prisons, “forced nationalization” to end fossil fuels, abolishing the Senate, open borders, and bashing nuclear family homes."
Below the text is a link preview to a cnn.com article titled "KFile: Swing-seat Democrat deleted posts envisioning ‘a wo...”, featuring an image of candidate Will Lawrence speaking at a campaign podium surrounded by supporters holding signs.
