So an armed dude who killed somebody in Gresham & then kills a police dog is taken off the street. But yeah, @councilorgreen.bsky.social believes it is a brilliant idea to eliminate the Portland police. District 4 you can do better

El-Sayed’s intellectual rigor. Contrast “DSA” @councilorgreen.bsky.social who said “When I say “defund the police”, what I really mean is abolish policing... I certainly do not mean reform police, because I actually want to do away with the institution altogether.” Re-elect Mitch? seriously?

Back in the day I was all in on the power couple. But today? We now understand how much damage Bill & Hillary did to the working class & the Democratic Party & should relegate them, as the main actors, in the chapter of history titled “Billionaires Gain Traction in Dismantling Democracy.” #Clinton

In Portland’s rank choice voting system for City Council, the advantage (name recognition) will go to incumbents. Who you rank & don’t rank will be critical to getting rid of folks who have proven themselves incompetent. Tune in. Support new candidates qualify for public matching. Don’t wait.

The greatest sci-fi authors are social commentators & shaped my world view. Over the last months I watched Amazon’s “Man in the High Castle” (creative interpretation of Philip K. Dick’s 1962 classic). Messy as the the adaptation is it’s essential to let science fiction inspire us not to give up.
