So this is Finland!🌲🌊 A few months ago, a lovely former student gave me this hand-wrapped, self-decorated chocolate as a goodbye/thank you (and I haven’t opened it since—it’s way too pretty!) Instead, I brought it with me to mark this new chapter at the Uni of Turku. Here’s to new, sweet beginnings!

Reading Concordances in the 21st Century (RC21) @rc21project.bsky.social · 05/03/2026
For today's World Book Day, @textandlanguagelab.bsky.social are giving you a taste of all the books to explore on www.clic-ficiton.com. Using the FlexiConc tab developed by RC21 gives you even more options to see how books were described in 19th century literature.
Screenshot of a concordance of "book" and "books" from a corpus of 19th century novels on CLiC. the lines are ranked by the number of words that end in ing, highlighting lines with multiple gerund forms, for instance: "looking at her instead of the book. She continued reading, or seeking for something to read. "
