RIP Eva Marie Saint. Eve Kendall in North by Northwest is probably my favorite Hitchcock blonde, flinty sexy wry. Her performance in On the Waterfront completely different, she was chameleonic in the way I look for now in my favs at a time where playing a specific type was even more of a thing.

Sterling Point influenced an O.C. rewatch and I don’t think I’d ever seen season 3 and it is a slog (only Taylor is a bright spot) but once you get through it the delight of season 4 is a reward. Season 1 is quite good, but 4 is still my silly light comedy fav. Taylor Townsend 4 Eva!

The re-popularity of Columbo really showing me how much Peter Falk was my dad’s rumpled idol. I kinda knew this as whenever the temp drops below 70 he will put on a trench coat and call himself “Columbo.” Plus he’s always wanted a Peugeot, despite also mocking French engineering.

I’m not American at all in my sports fandom. I love soccer like I love figure skating for technique and skill and grace. Many may find it boring but I so love watching Rodri (no goals). His mastery over the pitch (his ball recovery alone!) to me it’s beautiful and thrilling to watch.
