Loved this. I'm so weary of those who say we need to try to understand the separatists' grievances. It's exhausting. I'm all out of empathy, especially for a crowd of bigots and grifters who never show any themselves.

NEW: In the @thestar.com, I wrote about how the most dangerous aspect of Alberta’s October referendum is the scapegoating of migrants for the province’s overcrowded schools and hospitals. www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...

I saw NAZA today at the Calgary International Film Festival. Nobody who’s paid any attention to Israel’s wars on Gaza will be surprised by the revelations in the film. But to hear 24 IDF soldiers coldly describe the systematic and intentional massacre of Palestinian civilians hits differently.

Just to tie this into Alberta at this very moment, the Cargill workers that Kenney's UCP treated as expendable are exactly the foreign workers that Smith's UCP wants to charge $1,900 a year to access health care, even though these workers pay taxes from the minute they start working.

It takes a special kind of bigotry... To read the definition of hate speech and follow it up by saying "I'm going to take it to another level"... Before launching into an appalling attack on an entire religion. But Alberta Separatists are apparently up to that task. #abpoli

According to the federal Job Bank, 1083 employers in Alberta are currently looking to hire TFWs. If Alberta is the only province charging TFWs for health care, want to guess how many want to work here? Then again, maybe that's the point.

And the media should treat as such. The separatist leaders are loons and grifters. Giving a platform to folks who think the King of England is scheming to assassinate them and people who have "allegedly" stolen millions of dollars from First Nations is dangerous.

“Sylvestre also says he’s on the record a hundred times saying he does not want to start an Alberta separatist party and wants nothing to do with a new party.” Separatists are inherently lazy. Going the Quebec route by starting a party and winning an election is too much work for these grifters.

This is the part many Americans -- including the Bezosites at the Washington Post -- don't understand. Canadians don't see this just as a Trump thing. It's that America elected him twice, and the second time with an even bigger mandate. The problem we're addressing is America, not Trump.
