I saw NAZA today at the Calgary International Film Festival. Nobody who’s paid any attention to Israel’s wars on Gaza will be surprised by the revelations in the film. But to hear 24 IDF soldiers coldly describe the systematic and intentional massacre of Palestinian civilians hits differently.

Honest question: where would the party’s traditional base be driven off to? Alberta has no viable option to the left of the NDP. Another writer mentioned the Alberta Greens, a party I didn’t even know existed until today. I don’t think this statement is much of a gamble on Nenshi’s part at all.
