It honestly depends on the video and what you last watched. If you keep videos at “Language (original)” for each video you watch, it doesn’t go directly to auto-dubbing, at least in my experience.

Oh yeah that feature has been there on YouTube for a while. They got rid of the feature that lets users add subtitles to videos, but were fine with this when AI rolled out.
