A desultory grey day, Heron scolded and dripping. I float my anxieties on still waters But find it difficult to let them go. Sometimes, there are No burning bushes. Only the squabble of ducks And the miracle of sloe. The canal invites Me in to its silence. #naturepoetry #anxiety #ukcanals
Feel the damp air. Can you smell the scent of damp earth and atill water? The air is clammy and holds you like a rejected lover. Reach up. Feel the rain wet branch of blackthorn. Those little orbs, are like small universes, night dark. Their fruit sweet and sharp. Roll one on your tongue. This is the taste of life.
