Mini wheats are a cousin to Cheerios and the rest of the normal modern cereals, but their grandmother is porridge: oatmeal, cream of wheat, rice cereal (eating currently)

Idk who taught me to do this as a kid: the big pillows are for hot cereal! Think of them as ramen noodles. Lay one(!) down in the middle of the bowl, pour milk (half and half🤌🏾) over it, microwave ~50 seconds, honey to taste. Then mash it up. You could do it cold & crunchy too, but why 😝

At 18, I got myself vaccinated. My mother claimed religious exemptions to skirt school requirements when I was a child. Recently, I find myself reflecting on how lucky I was to grow up then and not now. And how grateful I am to the largely vaccinated community I grew up around, who kept me safe.

Yet another example of how society thinks disability accommodations are privileges that can and should be taken away at the pleasure of enforcers. If an ambulatory person commits a crime, we don’t remove his ability to walk (and shouldn’t!), so why is it acceptable to limit disabled prisoners?
