Man i have one crow who i watched kill and eat a starling in front of his friends. His other hobbies include bullying the seagulls and the resident squirrel i hate. I think he’s protecting a nest.

Was driving behind a large Ford truck on a surface road and watched it veer around every single manhole cover. These were pretty flush to the road, not like they were craters. What do you think that truck does on a farm road, homie?

My inlaws sent bday money a while back & told me to spend it on something i normally wouldnt buy. So i commissioned a blanket & a scarf from my coworkers’s partner who has a loom. Blanket arrived today & wow. This from a digitized Russian pattern from the 1890s. It’s incredible.

I keep thinking about one moment from last night's walk audit. Someone asked how disabled people deal with so much inaccessbility. Without missing a beat, a blind woman said, "I just don't go out. I stay home." When we ignore nondrivers we limit their mobility and cut off access to the world.

The Squamish people of what is now Vancouver were illegally dispossessed of their land 100 years ago. They sued, got the land back, and used their sovereignty to ignore local zoning and build 6,000 new homes over the loud objections of nearby wealthy NIMBYs. Now other tribes are getting in the game.

We need to take this "nihilistic hate" jargon and throw it in the trash. Definitionally, it means nothing. Law enforcement is only interested in it because it helps them obscure right-wing extremist violence. The public finds the concept offensive. Just drop it, imo www.cbsnews.com/news/san-die...

Gross. Fuck data centers.
Thank you for reaching out with your concerns about the environmental impacts of data centers. I appreciate hearing from you and wanted to share my perspective on the issues you raised.
The rapid expansion of data centers reflects new opportunities for our state's tech leadership and also poses serious challenges that demand strong oversight. As artificial intelligence and cloud computing become more central to our economy, data centers have a growing role as the infrastructure supporting innovation and critical services. Washington state is now home to more than 100 data centers, each one bringing high-quality jobs and new investment to local communities, alongside unique impacts to address.
Let's be eyes wide open here: these facilities can require significant amounts of electricity and water, so we must carefully account for their impact to local utilities, our environment and natural resources, and water availability. That absolutely includes ensuring that other utility customers are not forced to absorb the costs of large-scale energy users in their utility bills.
Washington state has a strong record demonstrating how innovation and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand. As Congress considers the future of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, it is critical to establish firm environmental protections, promote responsible energy and water use, and ensure transparent utility planning.
With clear expectations, enforceable standards, and responsible planning, data centers can support innovation while limiting their impact on our communities and ecosystems. I remain committed to advancing policies that balance technological progress with environmental protection and affordability.
Your voice matters in this conversation. Holding leaders accountable and demanding better from corporations is essential to preserving our natural resources and environment for future generations.
Thank you for reaching out to my officeand please continue to raise yo…

In Totonac culture, the primary god of death and the underworld is Mictlantecuhtli (also known as the Lord of the Dead or the other life). While often associated with the Aztec pantheon, Mictlantecuhtli was worshipped extensively in the Totonac region of Veracruz, particularly at the ceremonial site of El Zapotal, where a major, rare unfired clay sculpture of him was discovered.
Key details regarding death in Totonac belief and their relationship with Mictlantecuhtli include:
Mictlantecuhtli rules over the underworld, a place where souls arrive after a long journey to rest for four years before finding their final destination.
Known as the "Wheel of Life and Death," representing the duality of mortality and rebirth.
