I think if someone has been charged with an offence or offences then that can be broadcast, using alleged implies something else. Not including the most serious charges and instead using only the more minor charge suggests a particular editorial decision. Looking at you BBC Radio 4 News.

This odd England teams should have English players of a narrow invented category notion. I thought we solved this in the 60's in Cricket. There are qualifying terms and then the team is picked. And similar rules now exist in all international sport. So teacups and unrepresentative storms.
