There’s this phrase we use in the disability space to get folks to engage with us as fully human: presume competence. Just like nondisabled people with disabled people, some of the most liberal/lefty white folks are incapable of assuming the people of color they interact with are truly competent.

Between September 10 and 13, ISS acquired four TMC observations of a half-phase Titan, covering its southern, anti-Saturn hemisphere. These observations were aquired from distances ranging from 1.49 to 1.73 million kilometers (0.93 to 1.07 million miles).

These images were taken on September 10, 2012 and received on Earth September 10, 2012. The camera was pointing toward TITAN at approximately 1,072,986 miles (1,726,804 kilometers) away, and the images were taken using the RED, CL1, GRN, BL1 and CL2 filters.

Channel mixing was done to approximate true color.

Most abusers are not abusive all the time. They can be charming and charismatic and can present as devoted, especially when in front of witnesses. Victims often tell ourselves that the caring persona is the *real* person and the abuse is some atypical behavior that will stop if we are loving enough.

Far too often recently I've seen people insist that the artist's intention is all that matters. "Why are you using that song for this character? The song is about (very specific personal reason for the musical artist), it doesn't apply" But songs, poems, stories, etc do not mean just one thing.
