My favourite overview of who transitions how fast to battery electric vehicles. Observations: 1. The slower transitioning countries are those that start to transition later. 2. The fast transitioning countries are generally from Asia or South America, while North America is abysmally slow

In der Presse ist gern von "übersehen" eines Radfahrers oder einer Radfahrerin die Rede. Es gibt Hinweise darauf, dass viele Autofahrende uns nicht sehen, weil sie uns nicht auf dem Schirm haben. Aber selbst, wenn sie uns anschauen, haben sie uns manchmal nicht gesehen.  Alle Autofahrenden haben gelernt, andere Autos zu sehen, auch im Augenwinkel und im Rückspiegel. Denn wenn es kracht, haben sie mindestens einen Blechschaden und viel Ärger. Autofahrende respektieren andere Autofahrende sehr. Aber schon bei Stadtbahnen versagt dieser selektive Respekt bei nicht wenigen völlig. Sonst könnte es nicht im Schnitt jede Woche passieren, dass ein Autofahrer oder eine Fahrerin beim verbotenen Abbiegen über Stadtbahngleise die riesige gelbe Stadtbahn "übersieht", also nicht sieht und reinkracht.  Mir fällt aber auch auf, dass manche Autofahrende mich manchmal durchaus sehen - sie haben das Gesicht mir zugewandt -, und sich trotzdem so verhalten, als hätten sie mich nicht gesehen. Es kommt zu einer eigenartigen paradoxen Reaktion: Sie sehen mich und nehmen mir die Vorfahrt. Vielleicht sollten wir unser Ziel anpassen? Entscheidend ist nicht Österreichs Stromautarkie, sondern eine dekarbonisierte Stromversorgung. Da wir immer Strom handeln werden, brauchen wir 100% erneuerbaren Strom in allen Mitgliedstaaten als eine gemeinsame europäische Vision.

Die Hitze ist das Ergebnis einer blockierten Omegalage (Hoch über Mitteleuropa) plus der zusätzlichen Erwärmung durch den Klimawandel. Die Wetterlage hält die Luft tagelang fest und lässt sie zunehmend erwärmen, der Klimawandel hebt das Temperaturniveau zusätzlich an. Zusammen entstehen Rekordwerte.
