Despite a dry season, both Kernza grain yield and straw yield in Alnarp landed slightly above last year’s levels — a small but encouraging bump in a tough weather year, especially with annual grain yields in the region down 10-20%. @beccsweden.bsky.social @thelandinstitute.bsky.social

Kernza keeps climbing, so we adjusted EC measurement height again and did the usual tower maintenance. The local birds, however, remain convinced our rain gauge is their premium restroom. Field techs by title, restroom attendants by circumstance. Kudos to the crew @beccsweden.bsky.social
