I finished the last of the Fates this week, and @lucidnonsense.org photographed them for me...he's brilliant behind the camera :) The busts are from #NErikson through #MyMiniFactory. Each took a few days to paint, and worth every second :) #Nerdlings #MiniPainting

Atropos, the crone. She wears a bronze-and-gold headdress with balance bowls hanging on either side. A sheer cloth drapes over her face, hiding her features. Her green dress has a plunging neckline and decorative shoulder drapes. A pointed gold collar is around her neck. She sits on a decorative base.

And the three figures together. Clotho the maiden is in front. Behind and slightly to the right is Lachesis the mother. And to the left in the rear is Atropos, the crone (please see individual pictures for descriptions of each figure) All sit on pedestals that are painted black with dry-brushed bronze on Clotho, and gold for Lachesis and Atropos.

I took a phone photo of this test mini last night and ended up really liking the way it turned out, so I got the Canon out today and took a "proper" photo (read took 50 or so images while fiddling with the lighting and camera settings during downtime from work.) #warhammer #minipainting #nerdlings

Pray for me friends, after a few days of calibration and dialing in test prints on the two new printers, I'm running the first set of production proofs for the 1/144 TR6. It is two very full plates, and a lot can go wrong and I won't really know till 4-5 hours in (of a 17 hour print for plate B) x'D

I'm BACK! Nearly 48 hours without power after one hell of a scary storm that knocked down multiple trees in the area. Following a few prepping subreddits helped immensely, as I had power banks to keep the phones charged.

The exposed roots of a tree that has fallen in the neighborhood.Most of what can be seen is the dirt, the giant hole, and the sidewalk that's been disrupted, along with the tree itself. The apartment building that it narrowly missed can be seen in the background.

I had to go into the office today because the storm took out power to half the city. Our place had been without power for getting on for 24 hours. The worst part is the surrounding blocks have power but they can't even give us an estimate when ours will be back on

Time to move on to the next steps. Disassemble and sand the parts for painting and get some clay in to fill out the voids underneath the cork. I do need to swap the left forearm back to the stock version with the grenade launcher initially thought it would be too much but now it looks bare.

Today's work for the @theceruleanproject.bsky.social sculpting a banner for the shield and designing a piece to fill the gap in the front of the power fist. It feels a little off right now and I'm wondering if I can eliminate the gap by omitting the articulation under the piece. #gunpla #nerdlings

Lil' Calgar and Big Calgar.

A side-by-side comparison between Marneus Calgar's metal model, originally released during 2nd Edition on the left, and the 2025 retired plastic version in Gravis armor on the right. Both are painted with blue armor (the older with yellow ornaments, the newer with golden ones), and red bolters.
I painted the metal miniature in 2004 as part of my first army, and it obviously shows compared to the one painted in 2026. It's way less elaborately painted, with a limited color palette and only some edge highlighting. The paint has been applied to thickly, and occasionally the white primer shows through. The base is dark green without any kind of basing material. But: It does have a printed out banner which has been colored with pencils.
