A few ads lean into the old less-government brand that was popular 2 decades ago, but they seem laughable in this era of Big Government conservatism. Rs have no message to sell Texans rn.

I'd never seen this student note on Texas' habeas law re: bad forensics, which was my brainchild when I was policy director at the Innocence Project of TX; the main complaint seems to be practitioners after the fact calling it the "junk science writ." But we never called it while pushing it.

I've said bf, any lawyer continuing to work at DOJ under these circumstances has abandoned ethics and integrity to the point that it should threaten their bar cards. This person was willing to tolerate a *great deal* of misconduct and mendacity till the day the leopard tried to eat her face, too.

Turnout's gonna be the whole shebang in the November election. There are no TX swing voters: Rural Rs who don't like Trump or Paxton may stay home, or may vote R anyway out of habit, spite, etc.. But to win, Dems must turnout Dems, esp in urban and suburban settings. Base appeals are everything now.

These are members of the Aggie Corps, not the U.S. military. It's more of a college dress-up club, like a drag show for right-wing straight kids. Corps membership carries no military obligation. FWIW, notice how few kids are there. Only 3-4 showed up for his "Send Me" workout earlier in the day.
