Christ the stupidity with which much of the UK screeches that Heathrow needs a 3rd runway infuriates me. No it fucking doesn't. You just tax airline fuel the same rate as fuel for a car. (currently its untaxed). You cannot pretend to give a fuck about climate change and keep building more runways.

23/23 That is my takeaway from this. The moment private political actors begin physically interfering with SAR operations, the Coastguard / rescue services now has another threat to manage. And every additional threat consumes attention and assets and endangers more lives.

Actually, I do have some advice, but it only applies to you as an individual, and that's to not be "a fan" in the sense it's generally meant. Don't make liking a person or a media property or a sports franchise or anything else a load-bearing part of your identity.

They made X-Men woke!!!!! X-Men in the 90s:
Charles: I’m more concerned with the third member of this debate. Graydon Creed is the man behind the so-called “Friends of Humanity” … a grassroots hate group that cloaks its message of radixal intolerance in respectability by hiding behind the First Amendment right to free speech.

Jean: I’ve read about the man, came out of nowhere, incredibly charistmatic.

Charles: Which makes him all the more dangerous, Jean. That charisma enables the “Friends” to hise in plain sight, allowing him the popular support of the people. Yesterday’s tragic confrontation upstate with the acolytes only provides him with fuel to speead the flames of anti mutant hysteria spreading across the country.Angel: It seems the Acolyta didn’t know what Teddy Matson’s latent abilities were when they attempted to kidnap him … nonmore than they knew he had down’s syndrome. In Uniscione’s words, that made him “unfit” to take part in their new world order. Funny, as mutants they, more than anybody, should know diversity is something to be celebrates not ashamed of.

Mother Superior: You are the one they call the Archangel

Angel: Yes mother superior, don’t bother calling the police. I’ll be gone before they arrive

This might be one of the funniest chart about energy scenarios I’ve seen. You can hardly see “actual” for gas
Winners and Losers
The IEA overestimated gas growth in Asia and underestimated solar

Gas
• Forecast 547 TWh
• Actual 17 TWh

Solar
• Forecast 465 TWh
• Actual 1,333 TWh

Note: Shows expected growth in Asian power generation between 2018 and 2025, based on actual 2018 generation, actual 2025 generation, and the 2018 World Energy Outlook's Current Policies Scenario estimates for 2025. Actual 2025 generation figures are from Ember.

"Dignity and Respect"
Cartoon titled "Dignity and Respect"

There's 7 doors in a row.

The first 3 of them have the "woman" sign, the next 3 have the "men" sign, all 6 have "no trans" written on them.

The 7th door has "Dignity and Respect" on the door. The door has been vandalised with it hanging off its hinges. There's graffiti around it that reads "kill yourself", "scum" and "trann.... freaks". There also a noose painted in graffiti.

A sign to the left of the 7 doors reads "these toilets are cleaned by both male and female cleaners"
