My daughter sent an innocent photo of her and her friend enjoying Lake Tahoe. I used AI to make it appear that she was driving a Cybertruck instead. Dad trolling for the win.

I'm on our local Little League board. A couple years ago, the VP moved us off Google to Microsoft, completely -- Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint, the whole bit. Such trauma every month when people try to log in to our calls or... deity forbid, share a document.

it feels like there are now several feature marketing reminders/popups i need to close on my paid zoom account each time i start/end a meeting contrast that with Google Meet, which has continued to improve in quality and, aside from a Gemini upsell every now and then, JUST WORKS

Tangent: Since moving to Cloud in 2022, the team here refers to Google Workspace as GWS and that's doubly confusing as I hardwired that acronym already.

Was having a conversation with an early career teammate today, and Google Reader came up. I explained its history, needed as it was sunset when she was in fifth grade. Later, we were discussing upcoming concerts, and I said I'd gotten tickets to Moby at the Rose Bowl. Her: Who's Moby? 🪦

Why would they build a cyclotron way up on a hill?! Oh ok nevermind I get it. 🧪
The view from the 88" cyclotron at Berkeley Lab. Some clouds and fog hang over the san francisco bay area seen from a high elevation. The campanille of Berkeley is to the left, a tree to the right. The bay runs through the middle of the picture with san francisco, the golden gate bridge is visible in the distant right. It is early in the morning, and I think conveys a feeling of coolness, beauty, and scale.
