I'd never seen Time. I've spent the last few days bingeing every episode of all three series of Jimmy McGovern's...masterpiece. Not one episode is an easy watch. After 30 mins of S1 Ep1, I had to take a day's break! But, my god, every single aspect is so well done. It'll stay with me a long time.

I predominantly listen to (a very broad term, I do dislike categorising music too much) acoustic folk these days. But it's mostly music made by young artists. I listen to a v broad range of music and it does annoy me when ppl of my age say there's no good music these days. There's more than EVER.

One good by-product of the streaming era is the accessibility of every kind of music across the ages. For my shame, I still use Spotify*: when they did their 'your listening age' thing a while back, my daughters' ages were estimated +20 yrs over; mine was 19 (I'm late 60s)! *I WILL leave!

I like to believe that a significant minority of younger audiences who are introduced to older musicians in this way, don't just dismiss them as 'cute', but go on to research their past catalogues and enjoy their music. Big Thief are aimed at the under-30s?! I get younger by the day.
