Hi, so my 6yo needed to go to the after hours clinic for an ear infection & fever (Covid negative on plus life) & they gave me a patient info sheet on viral illnesses and guess what? They are calling Covid a common cold now 🫠
Patient Education: Viral Illness/ Common Cold
The common cold is a group of symptoms caused by a number of different viruses, including severe acute respiratory coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the virus that causes COVID-19. Children under six years average six to eight colds per year (up to one per month, September through April), with symptoms lasting an average of 14 days. This means that a child could be ill with intermittent cold symptoms for nearly half of the days in this time period, without cause for concern.

The platform appears to use AI. The last 3 screenshots are from the FAQ on the RTHM website.
A screenshot of text reads:

RTHM
RTHM is an intelligent care platform that makes it easy to gather all your health data in one place, connect the dots with AI, and affordably access the diagnostic testing, treatments, and support you need—so healing is finally within reachA screenshot of text reads:

RTHM's intelligence platform is built for complex conditions where research evolves quickly and traditional care systems may sometimes lag behind. Our AI has access to:

A large repository of curated research papers and clinical guidelines related to IACCs

New IACC research and clinical guidance papers (added every 1-2 weeks)

Thousands of real-world clinical and patient-reported outcomes

A screenshot of text reads:

Our system is constantly improving—reading new studies, analyzing reported outcomes, and incorporating feedback from people using the platform. When a relevant paper gets published or a new treatment gains traction, we update the system so your insights stay up to date.

That said, no AI system is perfect, especially in areas as complex and under-researched as Long COVID, ME/CFS, POTS, and MCAS. We've tested RTHM's AI internally, with our patient advisory group, and with nearly 200 beta users before releasing it, but here's what we still want you to know:A screenshot of text reads:

The AI may generate incomplete or incorrect suggestions, especially when limited data is provided

The AI does not replace clinical judgment, though it is designed to complement it

We encourage you to verify all AI-generated insights with your care team before making health decisions

We're committed to transparency, continuous improvement, and surfacing the limitations as clearly as the benefits. The more you use the platform, the better it becomes, for you and for the community.
