NEWS: A federal judge in Rhode Island has released her written order demanding the Trump admin use emergency funds to pay SNAP food benefits. The court gave the gov until Nov 4 to ensure payments are made and says if the contingency fund runs out, they must continue to fund SNAP via other means.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

On Halloween I’m thinking I’m gonna do something different and have a bowl with candy and a basket with items like individual servings of Mac and Cheese, Packs of Ramen Noodles, single serve PB cups, apple sauce,etc. for kids that may be food insecure and yes they can take from both options
