Yeah, forced by who, exactly?

Screenshot from Super Robot Wars A Portable, Bright saying "Now that yu mention it... you were also just a civilian, forced to fight for your life", Amuro replies "And we had to protect our own refugees, who boarded the White Base"

A very simple premise with a production that doesn't take many risks, but solid writing and a two strong leads who bounce well off each other really made Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You one of the stand out shows of the 2026 Summer anime season.

my big surprise of the shows I've picked for the summer season, very good visually and for a hobby show the story occasionally goes into places in the flashbacks. Also teaches you that technical proficiency isn't as big as an hurdle as long as you have the enthusiasm for something.

Historical shows often circle around the great figures, even more when the topic is the Mongol Empire and Genghis Khan. Jaadugar takes a different approach by showing this period in time not by focusing on him, but on his sons' wives and a Muslim slave who wants revenge for what was taken from her.

I love how real companies are trying to come up with some business plans that look like they're from the post-dotcom bubble, offering free PC games but it's their versions who were modified to have space for a banner ad built on.

As most shows enter their final week, it is time to look at the anime from this 2026 Summer season, and no better to start than The Ghost In The Shell, who after 35 years finally has a manga faithful adaptation that visually also feels very inspired by how it could look in 1993.

I'm not a big author, but at that time if my teenage self wanted to give something a foreign name, I'd draw from what I knew: football players, Olympians and people from encyclopaedias. I'd probably end up with idk Qiao Wei. All her naming references are racist jokes.

As someone who walked a lot at night, my new theory to guys who keep going off about "street insecurity" is that they were on a date, someone, maybe a foreigner, made a pass at her, he was too busy shitting his pants and now think she sees him as a limp-dick loser. Not the streets who are "insecure"

"Blogger" was an insult until traditional mainstream media realised they lost the war and started to change their business and CMS to be more blog-like, it wasn't like pre-google Blogger was forced down everyone's throats and every outlet (including forums) was forced to become a blog.
