we're in the era of sports stadiums that look mostly alike and very boring because they're designed for maximum corporate boxes without compromising the number of premium seats, and even compared to those it looks ugly.

this kinda reminds me of the bit in the visual novel sections where while tripping balls Max Payne realises he's in a videogame.

Some french animation studio should do something where the CV is the cynical straight man and the Twingo the cheery, overly energetic foil. There's a cybertruck exploding on the background of every episode.

What can you say? This was the definite winner they will never top. Also one of the best things I've seen at any PRGE #PRGE #PRGE2026

fun bit: I always disliked most of corporate gaming media for being more interested for playing nice to advertisers and their friends in the industry, and on *day one* I picked up for most those people that was just a figleaf for "they're making me play as a black woman with realistic proportions"

I went private the moment the still-twitter app was becoming too broken and realised opening the app only made me feel shittier. It wasn't even a big moment, it was simply "Yeah, I'm done".

16) Ghost in the Shell SAC (PSP) This very much should have been a PS2 game, very fun, but only after mapping the face button to right analog stick. Now, That's all the videogame posts sorted until March.

And by doing that, accidentally made way for a lot of weird jokes with our old currency:

Nic Cage is such a weird case of a guy who really seems to care about the craft of film making (well, it runs in the family) while famously having a career with so much garbage because 1) he wanted to play that role, don't care about the rest 2) oooooh Patek Philippe new collection

Me, 3 hours ago: I guess I'll write about the 2005 PSP Ghost in the Shell game and get it out of the way Me, now: I don't think it is necessary to have 2000 words talking about Wolf3D, Doom and the history of 90s FPS games just to say "in an emulator, map the face buttons to the right analog stick"

If the whole reaction to (waves around) this, from regular people to establishment politicians, can be summed up with saying "this is not who we are", then I have very bad news.

The "helps no-one" is probably the most insulting of the excuses because it implies there's something that would *actually* help that he wouldn't also be screeching about. Trade boycott? Diplomatic embargo? It seems waiting for the mythical "liberal progressive zionism" is the only thing allowed.

This announcement looks some hardcore legal-fu. "oh, we know we can't do anything with the characters or the story BUT we can put all frames of animation in order each showing for around 41 milliseconds syncronized to a sequence of sounds"

010

Oscar Zeta Gundam @lmfsilva.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Sooooooo many words to say "Yes we're using AI".

000

Oscar Zeta Gundam @lmfsilva.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Granted the posters aren't the best (except 1) but going with slop is just embarrassing, looks like a bootleg copy you'd buy from a guy in the street and not know what's on the disc, could be a handycam from the theatre, hard subs in russian or maybe you've lucked out and it's actually decent.

020

Oscar Zeta Gundam @lmfsilva.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Really love how some searches on youtube end up with a ton of AI results, and you can't even say "don't show me anything from this piece of shit channel ever again"

Polar Opposites went into the Spring hiatus as a contender for best anime of the year, and sidelining the two main characters for a bit somehow just reinforced that position. I don't think that is supposed to happen.

I don't know if this is in the manga, but I hope they squeeze it in with pixel graphics this time. Heck, pixel graphics from the snes game.

(the guy who runs uber for ghostbusting *knows* what's inside and thinks that releasing hundreds of them will be good for business, but doesn't know the mansion itself is acting like a manhole cover to something much bigger under it)

030

Oscar Zeta Gundam @lmfsilva.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Heck, make it three villains: a property developer building a datacenter on an area with a haunted mansion that was deliberately abandoned and sealed to contain the spirits, the tech guy who was warned but said "yeah, but the land is cheap, I don't care", and the guy who runs Uber for ghostbusting.

See, the smart thing is wanting power, and then ask the other guys on the right they just beat what they should do with it, that's centrist liberalism in a nutshell.

Fantastic Dizzy was the first game I got with my Mega Drive and it still holds up very well, the graphics are crisp, the music is good and gameplay is good as long as you don't think you're playing Mario. Maybe could have used some QoL stuff re: stars remaining in an area and maybe a save function.

There's no point in arguing with people that in some distant future will admit that "maybe we were wrong", but "ah well absolutely nobody else called it either". They love "debate" just as a way of putting their ideas out there, counterpoints they can't ignore are treated with loud screeching.

Dude actually believed he was the only one capable of scoring goals (by forcing the team to play in a way that doesn't suit the best players by playing wide, cross and inshallah) and went all-in with a pair of twos. Completely delusional.

I just love how he says he "accepts the consequences" when he knows he isn't getting stripped of his captaincy and the Federation won't file to get him a up to 6-month ban from official competitions that would get in the way of his 1000 goals. Very bold, kayfabe in football.

It's almost unfair for every other comedy anime how a thing that has an episode running with the concept of "dying from blue balls" can be in the running for best comedy, but Grand Blue also has an heart, even if it's under layers and layers of carefully assembled abject stupidity (complimentary).

I really struggled to pick non-returning shows this season, ended up with just two (three with Rayearth), and even on the returning ones two of them are more on the "ok sure I guess" train than "must see". Really poor season after a couple of stellar ones.

Not just that, they just want the appearance because they know if someone starts digging on their actions as elected officials and dig into their portfolios and bank accounts there's a lot of things that would get tut-tutted by an ethics committee, but maybe a full corruption charge on the courts.
