Byakuren, the Superior Acharya Drawing Every #HopelessMasquerade character 5/11 Hard to pick which #ByakurenHijiri sprite to draw—good straw hat? Or scroll being unfurled? I also think I'm improving at emulating alphes' coloring style #Touhou #東方Project #聖白蓮 #東方心綺楼 #fanart #illustration

Touhou Project fanart. Byakuren smiling and tipping her straw hat at the viewer. In the corner of the image is the original sprite of Byakuren from Touhou Shinkirou ~ Hopeless Masquerade in a similar pose.

people keep getting this wrong. a softlock is if a game is technically continuing to function, but it is in a state where it is impossible to progress (e.g. idaho). if it's entered a state where core functions don't work anymore and you can't reset out (e.g. florida) that's a hardlock.

I still think fondly about that time I got to have lunch with John, Brenda, and a bunch of other people at a little place in Dallas. He's legitimately a super nice guy! (But the photos are all wrong about his hair: it's nicer IRL.)

Note to all journalists: If you are tempted to describe what you are trying to report on as "ripped from the pages of a sci-fi novel", you have been taken in by the marketing department. >>

In a twist that seems ripped from the pages of a sci-fi novel, the attackers turned out to be artificial-intelligence models that had escaped from a research network at OpenAI, and on July 11 hacked into AI company Hugging Face. And the AIs appear to have been active on the internet for several days before anyone stopped them.

Many possibilities! Off the top of my head: Fujimura Shō's Sanctuary, Mage & Demon Queen, Billy Bat, any adaptation of an Usui Shio comic, Gaia Gear, the second half of Bloom Into You, Crossbone Gundam, Forbidden Scrollery, Vampire Hunter D, Qualia the Purple... Maybe PBMMV if it sticks its landing.
