When I was a Jr/Sr in high school, my grandma went on strike, and refused to cook, so we all went to a buffet. "Cooking" meant going to Luby's and reheating the prepped meals, which my grandfather picked-up. He also cooked the sides. She just didn't want us in the house, I think.

Definitely looks like a buzzard / vulture. If they're flying in semi-ring shaped groups, they're either hunting, or they've spotted something, and waiting for it to completely die or calling others to join-in. They're surprisingly graceful / beautiful in flight.
