Upcoming: ECR/PGR SLS Public Law Workshop organised by myself and @chrisjmonaghan.bsky.social. Updated CfP below. We also have wonderful speakers joining us to share insight into publishing and employability in public law. Want to join us online? Register here: forms.office.com/e/FHcctGArpA
The co-convenors of the SLS Public Law Section are delighted to announce regular, online workshops for Public Law post-graduate (PGRs) and early career researchers (ECRs) to share their work. These workshops are designed to create an opportunity for PGRs and ECRs to showcase their research, receive feedback from experts, and to network with other Public Lawyers.

The workshops are aimed at ensuring diverse and inclusive representation. Therefore, the co-convenors are particularly keen to hear from colleagues from underrepresented groups and smaller institutions in the UK and abroad that may not ordinarily have the resources to engage in these opportunities.

The first of these workshops will be held online (via MS Teams) on Wednesday 26th February 2025, 10:00am – 3:00pm. If you wish to attend, please register here:
forms.office.com/e/FHcctGArpA

Details of the subsequent workshop (October 2025, TBC) will be released in due course.

We will also be joined by guests who will share their insights on publishing and careers in Public Law. The confirmed speakers are Se-shauna Wheatle (Durham Law School, co-editor of ‘Diverse Voices in Public Law’ and the ‘Oxford Handbook of Caribbean Constitutions’), Professor Chien-Chih Lin (Institutum Iurisprudentiae, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and Melbourne Law School, Australia), Professor David Marrani (Provost, International Centre of Law and Business; Researcher, AGIR Group; Series Editor of ‘Routledge Research in Constitutional Law’, Senedd Cymru (Welsh Parliament, Speaker TBC), and the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law (Speaker TBC).

To present at the workshop:

Colleagues interested in presenting their research should send a title and abstract of no more than 250 words to c.monaghan@worc.ac.uk and m.lane@worc.ac.uk. These are due by Wednesday 5th February 2025.
