Does your device change your regional slang into something completely different? Tried to type #bampot & had it auto-corrected to "vampire". Perhaps it's a #Scottish #RegionalSlang #WordOfTheDay somewhere 😂

Re-reading 'Signs, Music' by #RaymondAntrobus on the last day of #NationalPoetryMonth I didn't understand the appeal of signed (poet's signature) books, until I did. "The body houses countless feelings that can't address their own names."
Deaf poet, Raymond Antrobus explains their sign name in BSL - an illustration is provided on the middle of the page. Text reads "My Sign Name is the BSL letter R (place trigger finger on dominant hand in shape of a hook, then place finger on palm of non-dominant hand, then lift dominant hand up over head, then open all fingers out in the BSL word for light, shower, sunrays)." This is followed by "The body houses countless feelings that can't address their own names." Towards the bottom of the page is the poet's autograph & my sign name in Raymond's notation form.

There's no such thing as a self-made man or woman. No one succeeds without support. "I did it on my own" is a sign of insecurity and entitlement. Acknowledging help is a mark of confidence and humility. Giving credit to others doesn't undermine you. It elevates them.

The feeling of spending days figuring out how to interpret #improv elements, which initially felt, potentially impossible. vs Doing a quick search online to guess vibe of potential clothing style & choosing to go smart-casual. Lesson learned: Never assume. 8 years qualified, still learning.

Smart "The interpretation process"; Dumb "The clothing choice".

"I love the analogy of a juicy orange. Squeeze it, and you find out that what’s inside of the orange is juice. When you look at a human being, and you apply pressure to them, what comes out all depends on what’s inside. If you have peace and love and patience inside, then that’s what will come out when “life happens.” If you have anger, resentment, shame, and stress inside of you and haven’t learned to process that pain, then that’s what will come out of you when everything doesn’t go according to plan."
