More Lego baseplate 3d stuff! I started developing a set that would allow me to build in one of the inductive charging rings to light things up that are placed on it - but there's a lot of fiddling to make things click into place. I also started more moon crater space plates!

It's done!!! Fleurana Tropical Gardens. I am so happy with this build, it has inspired me a ton and will lead to some exciting things in the future I think. Paradisa is my happy place, I transport there by building and it's so therapeutic! So many fun details in this one, I had a blast. :)

Oh no I love getting suggestions, even ones I don't use still make me think and reflect! In this case I did decide to keep it all light grey, it's meant to invoke the old Paradisa baseplates. Plus I want to keep the colors as simple as possible to capture that classic style.

Okay I think I am effectively happy with it!!! Like so happy, actually. Kinda feel like a real artist a bit? Like Paradisa to me is my version of paradise, like an alternate world that's just pure good. And the absolute perfect medium for that is a children's toy. Now to add the minifigures...

The LEGO Ideas Paradisa challenge is over in 4 days so I have to get working on this 😬 Move the Dolphins to the fountain instead of a topiary, love how it looks! Adding Flamingo ponds too, the addition of birds really brought things to life.

The Excelsior class and it's refits are my favourite ships in #StarTrek. Closely followed by the Nebula class. It was only logical to combine the two! Thanks to @ncc-60205.bsky.social I can see my U.S.S. Endeavour in colour for the first time!

Mostly finished with the 2001/2-ear Scorpion! Will have actual treads, just missing the piece in LDD. Shot for a $40 price point, maybe $45. Also made a small $15 Hunter set! Inspired by Saber Scorpion's old design from way back then.

A few tweaks. I also recoloured the objects to give a better impression of what the finished design might feel like. The new outer ring would be substantial but de-emphasised, keeping the original DS9 silhouette clear.

My DS9 upgrade concept with a large outer ring. DS9 would have it's rust colour while the Starfleet additions would be a neutral and darker blueish-grey. Only three points of the DS9 exterior would need to be modified.

Oh ya I've always wanted to do EAW! I've heard it's really easy, it's more that my models of those ships are much bigger and have a ton more pieces and would require a lot more cleanup first. But, maybe some micro models like the Minikits from the old games? Giant Minikit as a space station??

Okay EXTRA fun thing about this Ghost, it's actually a mod of a very old Ghost model of mine from 2013. I put a file download up at some point and still had the link. Dont even have images of it up anywhere still. Picture this as a $10 set, 66 pcs. Little pricey but it's 3 new molds in a cheap set.

LEGO Halo: Combat Evolved and LEGO Star Wars: Battlefront are both at the top of my list of possible ideas. The idea would be to port models/animations from the classic LEGO games, using my own models/stickers to fill the gaps, for an authentic-feeling LEGO version of these games, but shooters.

Trying some 2001/2-style Halo: CE tonight. I was thinking.. modding my LEGO models into games would be a very good way to transition to game dev and practice my skills while also advertising my instructions in an attention-grabbing way...

Oh so it was! I did check the crab, but I think at that point in the build I was trying to stick to 1997 and earlier (had to go to 1998 for the technic pieces that make the ferris wheel possible).

Finished renders of my classic-styled Paradisa Sand Bar Pier! 1773 pieces, made exclusively with parts that were available in 1998. Made for the LEGO Ideas Paradisa challenge. Really really fun build, I had a blast. Will definitely be doing more part challenges like this!
