I legit was so confused with this, but also dying at it so???? Mission accomplished?????

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

(nah, I'm happy this is how I get rather than being aggressive or angry, and I'm privileged (??) I guess that the worst I get is just annoying people with things like Sonic facts... By the way, did you know that the Knuckles tv show has Pachacamac trying to whitewash his origin story??????

Some people get aggressive or angry when they get drunk. I, on the other hand, start organizing files on my Plex server and implement a new indexer to snag nzb files from and fix my local copies of Regular Show. I think there might be something wrong with me(?????????)

this still makes me giggle uncontrollably

I was thinking about why so many in the radical left participate in "speedrunning"
The reason is the left's lack of work ethic ('go fast' rather than 'do it right') and, in a Petersonian sense, to elevate alternative sexual archetypes in the marketplace ('fastest mario')

Gah, and I assume the hotel provided one wont work because it goes to the little streaming box, and most of the hotel TVs don't even have like, proper navigation buttons on them either. It's sad that the main reason I keep a Flipper Zero in my backpack is for this exact situation lolo. Good luck??

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Unplug the RJ11 or serial cable connected to the back of the TV, then power cycle it. Should kick it out of "Hotel Mode" and allow access to actual settings.

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Yeah bluetooth is paired at the OS level, that will never work here.

010

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

In terms of the drive though maybe it just needs to be re-imaged, idk how you were working on stuff but is there a chance whatever you were doing toasted the bootloader?

110

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhould be del or f12 sometimes for boot menu, but it's per CPU or sometimes depends on the keyboard because fuck you

210

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Yeah, I think it defaults to this if any of the available boot devices can't boot. Your SSD might be toast.

Mag is absolutely huge, but I think the space it's in helps distribute that congestion a bit. Genuinely the only times it's felt overwhelming was like... dealers as soon as it opened as well as trying to get into some of the larger panels/bands. I hope you get to go! It's my favorite con!!

We're at gamescom this week (in Hall 10.2) with #StepManiaX, and what better way to celebrate than with, you guessed it, some new songs! Update #80 is here with tracks from Naoki Maeda, Monstercat's Arcando & Pirapus, and the return of the incredible Smile․dk, newly remastered! Out now, worldwide!

I'm aiming at that or the 9950X3D because of other productivity stuff, I'm glad others are all saying good things about the current AMD line.

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Shoutouts to my @frame.work laptop though for covering in the meantime!?!? I can power all of my displays AND peripherals AND still have horsepower to spare so I'm not totally deadlocked. So happy to have it and supporting their cause for repairability/upgradability (plus having a 5070 is nice!)

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Tried new PSU, tried reseating CPU, the usual checklist. Just absolutely bums me out that I "spent more to get better parts" this time and had this happen, and the 3080 I had in it when I built it died a few months back too. Thankfully, CPU prices aren't totally insane, and I can use the RAM (DDR5)

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

This is after the months of memory incompatibilities that I'd been fighting, and yes, I was up to date on BIOS patches that "fixed" the issue, as well as slightly undervolting to keep it safer. The whole system doesn't even POST anymore, nor even turn on anything else in the case. It's toast.

Lightning⚡ @lightningxce.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Well, finally hit me. My 14th gen Intel i9 just murdered itself, along with the motherboard (?????????????) AND it's a few months past their "gracious" extended warranty period due to the manufacturing defects on this generation. VERY COOL. Time to jump to AMD and never look back. Sick of this.
