Vascular changes in the brain may also play an important part in vulnerability to Alzheimer’s, as well as disease progression. Cerebrovascular networks are inherently continuous and interconnected, requiring a spatial, whole-brain approach to fully understand their contribution. (4/4)

Also incredibly honored that our image was selected as the cover art for this issue. We used viral tracing and whole-brain light sheet microscopy to map the brain-wide collateral targets of primary somatosensory cortex neurons that project to the insula.
