Pushing that aside, the movie is a hell of a time capsule. Release in April 2001, you really saw a shift away from movies like this oh about 5 months later.

And "passing" isn't even much of a possibility for me by simple virtue of living in a very small town/county. Hard to "pass" when everyone already knows who I am and was. But also, most people have been either outright warm and kind or just unbothered.
