The final story, closing Frost Zone Stories book 4 is an immersive and atmospheric tale of old ghosts in NYC; the kind of story that sticks with you just like the ghosts that stick to the Big Apple. "The Bar That Remembered" by @lawrencedagstine.com www.frostzonestories.com/p/issuesbook...
Vertical banner with orange border. Text: Lawrence Dagstine The Bar That Remembered They said the Forty-Deuce Bar was built on a sinkhole of bad dreams. You couldn't tell by looking at it. It was just another dim joint holding up a corner on 8th and 41st, a bar that smelled like beer-soaked plywood and cheap cigarette smoke. But sometimes, when the neon from across the street flickered wrong, the floor seemed to breathe. I made a paper mache Frank 'N Furter sculpture for 8th grade art class, right in the midst of my friends and mine Rocky Horror Picture Show obsession. Teacher loved it, and said, "Oh, nice clown!" Now that I think about IT, maybe he had a premonition of Pennywise. RIP Tim Curry

Lake Ontario's name comes from the Wyandot word Ontarí'io, which is typically translated as "beautiful lake". The Kanienʼkéha called it Katarokwi. Samuel de Champlain called it Lac de St. Louis. The name Lacus Ontario was first recorded in 1660 by Francis Creuxius.

Marcus wants to show Judy the large, beautiful house where he'd spent many childhood summers. Surely the old couple who minded him then would be long gone... Read "Here Before" by Ian Inglis in Frost Zone Stories book 4. www.frostzonestories.com/p/issuesbook...
Vertical banner with orange border. Text: Ian Inglis, Here Before. "Oh, the died or moved away years ago...it's the house I want to see." Marcus and Judy reached the end of the wood by a sandy track, and stopped at the gatehouse of a large, detached house. Sea Haven stood halfway down a steepish hill leading to a long, narrow beach. Book 4 of Frost Zone Stories opens and closes with urban settings. The opener is by @kristalstittle.bsky.social Riding the subway can be an ordeal at times. Add a creepy, mysterious stranger and you have one unsettling tale in "The Pink Jacket". www.frostzonestories.com/p/issuesbook...
Image shows front cover of Frost Zone Stories book 4 on left, and on the right-hand side: Kristal Stittle "The Pink Jacket" Things happen on the subway. Some are good, more seem to be bad, but most are just neutral, so dull as to be forgotten the moment you step back into the sunlight. But if you've seen the man in the pink jacket, you'll never forget.
