I found this at the weekend @showmeasign.online, must be getting on a fair bit, another non road sign set in Transport aswell! 🙄
Picture shows a sign of offwhite background with a black boarder, with the text "Oldham Metropolitan Borough HOLY ROSARY R.C INFANT and JUNIOR SCHOOL - NO TRESPASSING"
A green fence blocks its view slightly. The sign includes a logo, 7 sqaures laid out in 2, 4 and 1 stacked. This apparently represents the areas making up the borough...

On the subject of GBR signage @doublearrow64.bsky.social what is going on at Manchester Victoria?? @thebeautyoftransport.com Now Northern logos have appeared on *some* of the new signage (over the already covered Hexabees) and this sign on the stairs can get in the bin 😒
Picture shows a station sign at Manchester Victoria. It comprises of a white plank with the station name accompanied by a red double arrow logo and now a purple circle with a white "n" inside it. This logo is where the Bee Network "Hexabee" logo is placed, albeit covered over...
There are adverts beneath the sign for kids food and a sunday times best seller.Picture shows a staircase at Manchester Victoria station with two signs reading "⬆️ (BR logo) Platforms 4,5 and 6". When updated, they were both in Rail Alphabet 2, now one appears to have been replaced by the same sign but in Helvetica!Picture shows a staircase at Manchester Victoria station with a sign reading "⬆️ (BR logo) Platforms 4,5 and 6". Only two years ago he was telling friends that he could not afford to run in the coming election. Then suddenly, his fortunes seemed to
and change utterly. How?
The likely explanation emerged this week: he was given E5 million by Christopher Harborne, a Thailand-based crypto billionaire and Reform UK donor. The money, Farage says, was a personal gift
disclosable. It was to pay for bodyguards, he said, making him "safe and secure for the rest of my life". But such protection costs are, at most, £300,000 a year. Farage was given a lifetime of financial security, clearing the way for his return to the political arena. Albeit with a lifelong feeling of debt to Harborne, who sits in a web of interlocking global financial interests.

Whilst @thebeautyoftransport.com appears to have found a nice original, this has popped up at Manchester Deansgate... I really hoped Victoria was a missed error but seems not... Honestly, @doublearrow64.bsky.social, why bother making a manual if no one uses it?! Also, are Northern hard up for cash?
Photo shows the platform at Deansgate station with the platform sign (against the backdrop of some buildings) sporting new Rail Alphabet 2 typeface but with incorrect usage of the red double arrow logo and also a yellow and black "Hexabee" the logo of the Bee Network. All these are on a white plank that is incorrectly divided by light grey lines, running at the bottom of the sign and between the name and hexabee. Below is a blue and purple sign, with white text proclaiming "Want your business name here" with a black and white QR code.

Sometimes, opportunities come that are too good to pass, for reasons not everyone will agree with. Leyland Bus ceased to exist 33 years ago & parts will only become more scarce as time marches on. So we jumped at the chance to purchase SELNEC 7008, after it had fallen on hard times, for spare parts.
Photo shows a rear shot of former SELNEC Park Royal Leyland Atlantean double decker bus, 7008 VNB108L which was converted to open top by East Yorkshire Motor Services in the 1980s. Currently wearing an upper silver, lower maroon livery, the bus has some very good condition parts both bodily and mechanically which will be of tremendous use to the groups operational Atlanteans of a similar vintage.Photo shows the front nearside of former SELNEC Park Royal Leyland Atlantean double decker bus, 7008 VNB108L which was converted to open top by East Yorkshire Motor Services in the 1980s, on the back of a red, white and blue six legger Scania tow wagon. Another fail... Salford Crescents new third platform had its new signs put up the other week. All in RA2 ofcourse. The platform planks had no double arrows. Well, someone must have thought they looked abit bare, they've all been done like this... @doublearrow64.bsky.social @thebeautyoftransport.com
Photo shows one of the platform name boards at Salford Crescent, originally just reading "Salford Crescent" in black text centred on a white background, now somebody has decided to bung a red "double arrow" symbol before the text, making the sign look somewhat off centre.

Oh dear @doublearrow64.bsky.social it was going so well. Not sure what guidelines these have come from at Manc Vicc?! The grey dividers, the odd extra blank boxes and those arena ads can get in the bin 🙄🤦‍♂️ And yet Salford Central is point 🤷‍♂️

There is a patch covering the Bee Network bee and word mark (for reasons unknown as they are visible at other stations) the boards also include a green based advert for the AO Arena.Picture shows a wider shot of recently installed platform station names at Manchester Victoria.
